The 1Oz Rwanda Pelican 2022 is part of BH Mayer Mint's Rwanda Wildlife series, which has been produced annually since its introduction in 2008. Every year, this series features a different animal from the Rwandan wilderness. This edition features a pelican and is minted in limited numbers.
Features of the 1 Oz Pelican 2022 silver coin
As is characteristic of this series, this coin’s design depicts the country of Rwanda with all its contours. In the corner we observe an illustration of two pelicans. The Pelican is a water bird with a long beak with which it scoops up its prey. Its characteristic throat pouch is drains water before swallowing. Alongside this image, the coin also details its year of mintage and .999 purity. The reverse shows the Rwandan coat of arms and a nominal value of 50 Rwandan Franc.
