1 Oz Birds of Prey - Red-tailed Hawk 2015 silver coin

The 1 Oz Red-Tailed Hawk 2015 is a the third silver coin from the immensely popular Birds of Prey series by the Canadian Royal Mint. This is a series of four silver coins which will be introduced over a period of two years. All coins feature native Canadian birds of prey and in 2014 the mint released both the 1 Oz Peregrine Falcon and the 1 Oz Bald Eagle silver coins.

The 1 Oz Red-Tailed Hawk 2015 is minted in silver with a purity of 999.9/1000. Its Troy Ounce weight is equal to 31.1 grams. The red-tailed hawk can be found throughout the continent of America and is characterized by its striking tail feathers. This bird is prominently illustrated on the front of this silver coin. The reverse features the official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
