2 Rand – hard to find...
Although the 2 Rand bullion coin technically is still considered legal tender, it has all but disappeared from circulation, having been ousted by the Krugerrand. The replacement process of the bullion Rand by the Krugerrand began in 1967 and was completed in 2002. Up to 2002, the Rand was minted in 1 and 2 Rand coins.

The coin weighs 7.98 grams and is made of 22 carat gold. The South African 2 Rand bullion coin has the same dimensions as the British Sovereign: 22.00 millimetres in diameter and 1.83 millimetres thick.
