This 1 Oz Congo Gorilla 2016 silver coin is the second edition coin from the Congo Gorilla series, which is produced annually by the American manufacturer known as Scottsdale Silver. The coin's design is inspired by the Congolese silverback gorilla and it is minted in exactly 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of silver with a purity of 999/1000.

The design of the silver coin is once again impressive, featuring a detailed portrait of a silverback gorilla. This African-themed coin is a collaboration between the American based mint, Scottsdale Silver and the Republic of Congo and therefore has a nominal value of 5,000 Congolese franc. This second edition coin has been minted as a limited edition of just 75,000 silver coins for worldwide trade.
