This 1 Oz Congo Gorilla 2015 silver coin is the very first coin from the Congo Gorilla series, which is produced by the American manufacturer known as Scottsdale Silver. The coin has been inspired by the Congolese silverback gorilla and is minted in exactly 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of silver with a purity of 999/1000.

The design of the silver coin is impressive, featuring a detailed image of a silverback gorilla showing us his teeth. This African-themed coin is a collaboration between the American based mint, Scottsdale Silver and the Republic of Congo and therefore has a nominal value of 5,000 Congolese franc. This first edition coin has been minted as a limited edition of just 50,000 silver coins for worldwide trade.
