The 1 Oz American Eagle 2021 Type 2 silver coin is an updated version of one of the world's most famous silver investment coins. American Eagles have been issued by the US Mint since 1986 and remain wildly popular around the world due to a relatively low premium and a highly recognizable design, with over 31 million American Eagle coins minted in 2020 alone!

The silver American Eagle is still considered legal tender with a face value of 1 USD. It is produced in 99.9% pure silver with a weight of 1 Troy Ounce (31.1 grams). In 2021 the design of this series was updated with a new image of the eagle after which this silver coin is named: the coat of arms with bird of prey has now been replaced by a flying bald eagle with olive branch. The front of the American Eagle 2021 Type 2, however, still features the same image of “Walking Liberty”, goddess of freedom.
